well, i always use xp,where vista is creating some problem to my laptop.
what are your views about vista and xp. |

I am hanging to my dear life to XP. Vista really sucks and hopfully by 2010, Windows 7.0 will be out and functional. |

I use XP, purely because its stable. i have used VISTA, its ok, it looks nice, but tends to be slower, its ok if you have a blasing fast machine to run it on, but even then if you put XP on that same machine then XP is faster. I also use linux on a laptop cos i like messin around with it =) |

Linux is cool too. Sometimes I wonder why people want to pay for Mcrosoft products when they can get free open source softward. |

Probably because windows is the most supported OS. Most programs and games work with windows. |

You are probably right but as more and more applications can down run on Linux, hopefully more people will migrate to the Linux platform. |

I hope people do move to the linux platform, its excellent, the only reason that i dont use it every day is that i produce music and there are none of the industry standard applications supported on linux =( they are supported on the mac though, so its not that big a leap to port them from the mac to linux, all they really mneed to do is to change the gui hooks =) |
