Aggressive play has the following advantages:
it forces your opponent to react
it lets know where you stand
it get you free cards and prevents you from giving them away
it can turn a second-best hand into a drawing hand
yeah, it can, but you can also get figured out and can loose once the people know how you play. the trick is to be consistent, even if you dont have a good hand.
